~thank you for the appreciative notes~

~As the Manager of the Patty Turner Center, I am privileged to have Debra Levie as one of my most respected and admired instructors. For several years, Debra has hosted her special art education program ,”Looking at Modern Art” which has given members and guests the opportunity to further explore the art world and the artists who helped create it. Debra is highly regarded at the Center and presents a very attractive series. She is very engaging and relates extremely well with her audiences. She is very dependable and always professional. As the instructor, Debra also challenges herself by researching new program topics which keeps my audiences returning for more! “Top-Notch!” David Shamrock, Manager Patty Turner Center, Deerfield, Illinois

~Debra's Art Alive Programs have been a great addition to our regular monthly programming at our independent senior living community. Deb's presentations are interesting and engaging to our audience, blending a mix of art and artist history and culture, each month with a different theme and background. She presents a great energy, which makes the presentations fun for art history buffs and novices alike! Jessica Childs, Director of Resident Programs Brookdale Senior Living, Chicago

~Debra has brought a program to our community that really does bring art alive. With her detailed presentations and incredible knowledge our residents are able to travel across the world exploring museums and artists they may have never seen before. For some it brings back memories from their earlier travels and for others it allows new travels through the comfort of their seats. She has done a great job of combining artist and museums that really highlight what art is all about. The residents love her presentations and often times I am asked when she’ll be coming back. It allows residents to continue cognitive development and connect with others over a love for art. Debra has done a wonderful job bringing out a passion for art in our residents. We are so happy to have her as part of our regular programming. Thanks again! Leah Shields, Activities Director North Shore Place Northbrook, Illinois

~Debra is a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable person who has a love to share with others. In her presentations, Debra engages participants to see the story behind the artwork. When working with participants creating art, she amazes them on what they actually can create.   Susan Durr Certified Dementia Practitioner and Activity Director

~Debra Levie introduced Art Alive Programming to The Merion residents in July of 2015. Debra has embraced the challenge with her detailed Impressionism Presentations as well as exploring Museums of the World.  The Residents of The Merion describe her as: Dedicated Extraordinary Breathtaking Remarkable Amazing Luminous Exciting Vibrant Incredible Eye Opening.  We Thank you.  Tammy S. Potts,  Social Director  The Merion

~Art Alive programming has always been a 'big hit' with our senior residents!  They get the feeling that they are traveling through these fabulous Art Museums around the world and get to see the wonderful photos of exhibits and hear all about the history behind the artwork.  It is a very educational and engaging program, residents always ask when we will get to see the next Art History program.  Debra is wonderful as well, one time we had a tech-problem and couldn't get the presentation to display...and she was able to still lead a fantastic program and had residents wanting more!    Jessica Natale,  Resident Program Director  The Breakers at Edgewater Beach

I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed attending Debra’s 'Art Alive Programming' at the 'Levy Senior Center' in Evanston.  I had the wonderful good fortune to take part in two of her sessions that focused on African American artists that may not be as well known as other artists, but who will remain just as memorable and noteworthy to me from now on.  Each of Debra’s programs was awesome from start to finish, and her audience absolutely loved her.  I use the word 'audience' loosely because Debra engages everyone’s participation right from the moment she begins to speak.  The amount of research and preparation that she puts into her talks is astounding, including the immense number of beautiful slides and other materials she brings with her. And on top of being so knowledgeable, Debra is such an articulate, witty and personable speaker.  Whether each of us attended one or several of her programs, we all complimented Debra on how much we enjoyed our afternoon.  I certainly hope she returns to the 'Levy Center' soon with new 'Art Alive'  programs!    Judy D. – Senior Resident of the Evanston/Skokie Community

The residents at our Senior Living Facility truly look forward to Debra’s monthly Art  Presentations. She comes to us with new and interesting information and truly stimulates good conversation. We plan to continue our relationship with Debra and Art Alive Programming for many years to come.    Keyla R.,  Senior Residential Community Activities Director

Thank you so much for contacting me and bringing such an interactive and interesting program to  our residents. I know they thoroughly enjoy your presentations and being a part of deciding future  topics.           Shari Capaldi    Director of Resident Engagement Silverado Orchard Park
